It has since been taken over by those who have difficulty annunciating, their words coming out in a jumble. The actual medical description Tongue Tie occurs in babies where the frenulum (the little bit of tissue that connects the bottom of the tongue to the roof of the mouth) is unusually short or thick. My little girl had a slight one, but we didn't need to do anything about it.
