Breast Cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer here in Australia, and 9 people lose their life every day to the disease.
Every year, 21,000 people in Australia are diagnosed with breast cancer. It is overwhelmingly a women’s disease, but let’s not rule it out completely for men. Of those 21,000, 200 of them will be men. This means 58 people every day will receive that life altering news. Of the 21,000 people, 3,300 people every year die from breast cancer, 33 of them men.
Thanks to the amazing research from the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the survival rate has increased from 76% to 92% since 1994. And it continues to rise with the amazing generosity of donors and fundraising efforts.
From now until the end of time or my business, 30% of proceeds from my “Simply the Breast” prints of all and every size, including customised orders, will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in an attempt to continue fund world-class research in a prevention, detection, new and improved treatment and quality of life.
